| Franklin J. ("Dad") Sterner is a Founder
and Chairperson of the Valley Spiritual Center and School of Healing
Arts. He has spent many decades developing skills in the transmission
of healing energies, and has been the master teacher for energy
healing at our Center, with certificates in many healing areas.
He can always be counted on to help, whatever the task. Basic Healing. |
| Patricia A. ("Mom”) Sterner,
our other Founder and Chairperson, has studied healing for decades
from far-ranging
sources, including Reiki and many other healing modalities, and
brought this knowledge to many. Always willing to lend a sympathetic
ear to others despite many illnesses of her own, she has held
the organization together since the beginning. More than anything
else, her example of persistence through overwhelming adversity
has inspired
all who work with her. Basic Healing. |
| Marlana E. ("Cricket") Flaherty has
long been the mainstay of our operations at the Center. With her
tireless
energy and unlimited memory for details she has kept us going
through easy and tough times alike. She has training in therapeutic
massage
from the Liberty School of Massage, and has acquired a special
competency in developing our own reflexology method. She is also
certified
in hypnotherapy. More recently she is working toward certification
in Cranial-Sacral Therapy and Myofascial Release. She is a Reiki
master. To her role as School Director and instructor she brings
a painstaking thoroughness and a gentle sensitivity to the needs
of others. She also serves on our Board of Directors. Massage Therapy,

| Patricia A Dudek, RNC (Diploma,
Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing, 1976) has brought a
wealth of competencies, talents
and energies to our undertaking. As an experienced registered
nurse with extra certification and former director of a program
for geriatric
patients at the Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Shamokin, PA,
she brings a vital competency in anatomy, physiology, and pathology
to our curriculum. She is also a Reiki master, a gifted teacher,
and an expert store manager! She can be counted on when a special
skill is needed. She is Acting Director of our School/ Center,
Business Administrator, and a member of the Board of Directors.

| Nancy D. Waldeck has professional experience as a
medical technologist. With certification in hypnotherapy and advanced
study of homeopathy, she brings vital skills to our curriculum.
When she is not lovingly tending the animals at Far Point, she is
covering the store at the Center, or taking appointments. She is
a Reiki master, a member of our Board of Directors, and Acting Director

| Jack A. Braunstein is a certified practitioner of
flower essences healing (Certificate, The Flower Essence Society,
Nevada City, CA, 1999). He is also certified in New York as an elementary
and secondary teacher of English and art. Author of an article on
flower essence character archetypes, he brings a special knowledge
and sensitivity to our program. Flower Essences. |
| Joseph Fenton (Sudharman) is a student
of Swami Satchidananda of the Satchidananda Ashram in Buckingham,
Virginia,
where he obtained his instructor qualifications in hatha yoga
and coordinated the teacher training program there. His far-ranging
and intriguing career has included a U.S. Navy career as a precursor
to the Seals, the management of a professional football team
in
Hartford, Ct. operating his own yoga school in Virginia Beach,
Va., and teaching positions at Old Dominion and Bloomsburg Universities.
He has opened a yoga school in New Berlin,
Pa.
We are delighted to have such a talented and dynamic individual

| Daniel T. Flaherty, Jr. is an Administrative Law
Judge for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and our legal adviser.
He is a voice of reason in all things, a tireless and uncomplaining
volunteer in tasks ranging from healing with the Crystal Bowls to
the cleaning of hooves at Far Point Stables. He is also a Reiki
master, and a member of our Board of Directors. Crystal Bowl Healing. |
| Susan Hepler operates her own beauty shop in Kulpmont,
Pa. She has been trained at the P A School of Muscle Therapy, King
of Prussia Pa. She has acquired a great variety of massage-related
and energy-based healing techniques, including therapeutic massage,
shiatsu. reflexology, and chair massage. She provides a most welcome
addition to our curriculum and our staff. Chair Massage. |
| Arlyne Hoyt has a Master of Science
degree in Education from Bucknell University (1997), and a diploma
from the International
School of Shiatsu (1998), Doylestown, PA. Her 622 hours of varied
training include Shiatsu, Shin Tai, Oriental Medical Theory,
Anatomy, Physiology, Food and Healing, Client relationships,
Clinic and Business Skills. She is also a licensed psychologist.
She is
a most welcome addition to our faculty. Shiatsu . |
| Bonnie Luther operates the Mountain
Tai Chi School, Newport, PA which has been named a chapter of
the Bow Sim Mark Tai
Chi Arts Association (Feb. 2000). A sought-after practitioner
and teacher of Tai Chi, she has conducted numerous classes and
workshops at various places in Pennsylvania. She studies with Bow
Sim Mark.
She is also a farrier, and contributes most helpfully to Far
Point
Stables, the horse rescue operation of The Valley Spiritual Center
and School of Healing Arts! We welcome this special talent to

| Catharine ("Cate") Scaffidi has been an
instructor of Yoga and counselor, adviser, and massage therapist
in a variety of contexts including teaching at Penn State, Bucknell
and Bloomsburg universities. She has a Masters Degree from Bucknell
University in Educational Counseling and School Psychology. With
her advanced certification in Yoga Stress Management and Yoga Cardiac
Instructor she brings exceptional qualifications to our School.

| Sandy Seyler is a natural intuitive
healer and holistic practitioner, skilled in Therapeutic Touch,
Reiki and Magnified Healing.
In addition to seven years of private practice, she has taught
for three years at the Center for Health and Wellness, Bloomsburg,
PA.
She is also a certified instructor of Hatha Yoga, and conducts
classes in her own integrated technique called "Creative Spirit
Yoga. " We
are greatly enriched by her warmth and extraordinary intuitive

| Diane Ruth Shewmaker is a teacher
of healing, Reiki and other holistic modalities who comes to
us all the way from
Washington state. She literally wrote the book on Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki
and
thus brings unique talents to our energy healing curriculum.

| Susan L. Shuey is a nationally certified
massage practitioner with additional training in a variety of
techniques including aromatherapy, reflexology, Reiki, and a special
instructor
training from the Academy of Medical Arts and Business, Harrisburg,
Pa. We are delighted to add her to our faculty. Pregnancy and

| Sandra M. Snyder, NCTMB, CHT , is
president/owner of Therapeutic BodyWork Inc of Boalsburg, and
State College, PA providing
massage therapy and physical therapy. A member of the American
Massage Therapy Association, she has also explored many spiritual
paths
and many healing modalities. Myofascial Release. |
| Ruth Steck is a nationally certified
massage therapist and an instructor with experience at the Mt.
Nittany Institute of
Natural Health, State College, Pennsylvania, and the Liberty
Isle Living Arts School of Liberty, Pennsylvania. She comes to
us with
the acclaim of our own Director, whom she has taught. We are

| Peter B. Waldeck, Ph.D. (University
of Connecticut~ 1967) is a retired professor of German and Linguistics
and author
of a number of scholarly books and articles. A former student
of Bill Trivett of York, PA, he loves to practice and teach astrology.
Also a Reiki master, he spends time each day sending distance
healing and cleaning stalls. Astrology . |
| Lisa Hepner Wehr is the Program Coordinator and Adolescent
Specialist in the Family Planning program of Snyder, Union and Northumberland
Counties, Pennsylvania. A specialist in AIDS issues in dealing with
clients in the workplace, she brings a needed expertise to our curriculum.

Linda Weihbrecht is an instructor
in clinical aromatherapy with R J Buckle Associates, LLC. She
also comes with a widely varied
background in health care with Pinnacle Health as patient access
representative, managed care coordinator, and occupational health
coordinator as well as served as a medical assistant and a medical
claims examiner. She brings a vital and most useful new perspective
to our curriculum. Seminar:
